Antibodies can be detected as early as one week after infection, with a slight difference between individuals.
1. A negative result indicates no infection or infection at a very early stage (within the first few days).
2. A positive result indicates an infection with 2019-nCov.
Interpretation of Test Results
1. Positive result:
IgG positive: A purple band appears in the test area (G) and the quality control area (C). Th e results show that the specimen contains the new coronavirus IgG antibody.
IgM positive: A purple band appears in the test area (M) and the quality control area (C). Th e results show that the specimen contains the IgM antibody of the new coronavirus.
IgM/IgG mixed positive: Purple-red bands appeared in the test area (G), test area (M) and q uality control area (C). The results showed that the specimens contained new coronavirus Ig M and IgG antibodies.
2. Negative results:
Only purple lines appear in the quality control area (C), and wireless bars appear in the test a reas (G) and (M). Negative results indicate that no new coronavirus IgG/IgM antibodies were detected in the specimens.
3. Invalid result:
There is no purple band in the quality control area (C), indicating that the incorrect operatio n process or the reagent has been deteriorated and damaged. In any case, the test should b e repeated. If the problem persists, you should stop using this batch of products immediatel y and contact your local supplier.
